#originaltrees
our story
From our mascot to our mindset, those of us who have spent time on The Farm realize we are cut from a different cloth.
However, most school merch can make us feel generic and mass-produced. The sweatshirts and other gear are uninspiring. . . almost like we went to Cal.
This is the reason we hand-stitched the first TREES sweatshirt back in 2020. The groundswell of interest in this single garment is what motivated us to launch the first-ever, micro-batch line of sweatshirts – offered exclusively to our fellow students and graduates of Stanford University.
Each features our signature TREES lettering – hand-cut and hand-stitched in the USA as part of limited edition batches of 144. When one batch sells out, we donate 10% of the profits from that batch to a specific charity. Then, we start to think about creating another.
We hope you like the sweatshirts and decide to join the growing family of Original TREES.
10% of Profits from Each Batch
Donated to Charity
One of the biggest decisions we face with each batch is selecting a charity that deserves a little more support and visibility. We are always open to suggestions, and we are serious about using The TREES to make the world a better place. With our inaugural batch, the decision was easy -- painful, but easy. Our cut and sew person is an amazing lady named Olena. She is from Ukraine and still has immediate family there.
We cannot imagine the pain and uncertainty that accompanies the Russian invasion, yet we know the children of Ukraine remain our best hope for the future. This is why 10% of the profits from this batch will go to Voices of Children. This is an incredible organization founded in 2015 to help children impacted by the first Russian invasion, and they deserve all our support. In fact, we would be OK if you bypassed buying a sweatshirt and donated $88 directly to this group.
Olena and the children of Ukraine say thank you, and we are honored to do a little to help.
